Medium Rigid Truck

    TLILIC2015B – Medium Rigid Licence

Training in for your Medium Rigid B licence (MRB) will prepare you for driving manual (synchromesh one clutch movement as in a manual car) and an automatic gearbox truck as well.

Generally people will have to participate in 6 to 8 lessons, plus a warm up drive and test. There is no minimum or a maximum number of lessons, as we always make sure that you participate in as many, or as little lessons you need, to make sure you are test ready.

QUICK TIP: If you already hold a manual car licence, regardless if you take your lessons and test in an automatic or the manual MR, you will end up with the same licence, which is a MRB license. What this means is that you can drive any MR truck with a synchromesh or automatic gearbox. The reason for this is that you have already previously demonstrated during a past driving test that you can use a vehicle with a synchromesh gearbox and for test purposes you do not have to demonstrate that skill again.
